Suidade was born from the desire to recover a slower pace of life, more connected to our roots and to the essence of our land. I’m Yolanda, the creator of Suidade, and this is my story.

My professional journey began in the textile industry, after studying patternmaking and garment construction. For five years, I worked immersed in a world where fashion moved at full speed, always demanding more and more. Although I gained valuable experience, something was missing. I decided to take my education further and studied Fashion Industry Management, seeking to better understand the processes behind such a complex and fascinating industry.

However, the city’s fast pace and constant pressure eventually pulled me away from what I truly valued: calm, connection with nature, and work done with care and dedication. That’s when I decided to return to the countryside, to my roots, where time seems to follow its own rhythm and every small detail matters.

That’s how Suidade was born — a project that represents not only my passion for fashion, but also my commitment to craftsmanship and to small local businesses. Suidade is my way of giving value to what truly matters: tradition, handmade work, and supporting the communities that keep our roots alive.

Through Suidade, I want to offer more than just a product — I want to offer an experience that reflects the authenticity of the Galician countryside, where each bag tells a story and every detail matters. I’m convinced that the future of fashion can and must be sustainable, and Suidade is my small contribution to making that happen.
